So there’s a Keurig coffee maching that came out that’s a newer model. The price tag on it is $200+ (depending on where you get it). I am now a proud owner of a Keurig.
But this isn’t about buying a coffee machine…
It’s about marketing concepts for internet marketing…
You see, ever since the Keurig machines have come out, I thought they were cool. But I could never justify buying one.
It wasn’t because they were too expensive. Or because I didn’t want one. It was because I drink WAY too much coffee and I’d end up spending easily 40-50 bucks a week on their coffee packs.To me, it doesn’t matter how much money I make. I don’t like the idea of wasting money.
So now we fast forward to my bachelor party. I ended up getting all of my groomsmen specific gifts to our friendship. One of those gifts was a Keurig. Symbolizing the late nights at a local restaurant we spent together drinking coffee.
He was very happy with the gift and told me he had wanted one for ages. I told him that I could never get one for the reasons I mentioned above. He then told me that Keurigs have adapters that are reusable that I can use my own coffee in them.
I immediately had a NEED for a Keurig. So I went out and bought one.
The moral of this story is that a $15 solution gave me a NEED to buy a $200 piece of equipment.
And that my friends, is precisely why it is like Internet Marketing. Many people see a product that they KNOW can benefit them. But there’s a reason why they don’t justify buying it.
A good marketer can sell a product. A great marketer can offer a solution that causes someone to buy out of their comfort zone. (Not to mention be ethically and morally sound, btw.)
So this begs the question, how would you apply my Keurig philosophy to your current marketing endeavor?
It’s simple, think of a product you have that may range in the price of $200 to $2,000.
Now, there’s got to be another product or service, being it a system or strategy that can help show people that they NEED it. It needs to show them that there IS a solution that works.
Consider this a shameless endorsement here, but I’ve recently gone under the tutelage of a marketer who pulls in 50-80 grand a month. They have a solution and have shown me the strategies and techniques I can use to generate 10-25 leads a day.
Yeah, it’s not cheap to some people. It’s $197 to get started. But if it’s something you’re interested in, I have an alternative for you that’s only $13. If you check it out and decide you want to try it. Great. If not no harm no foul.
