5 Things I Wished I Knew Starting Out In Internet Marketing

5 Things I Wished I Knew Starting Out In Internet Marketing

When I first got into internet marketing, I made a ton of mistakes (I still do). Unfortunately, there wasn’t anyone to really guide me. With that said, I want to offer a little insight. 1.) It Takes Work. Let’s be honest here. Marketing takes work. Unfortunately, nearly every single marketing product, post or article tells you otherwise (the warrior forum is especially guilty of this.) Here’s the deal, guys. Making money online is easy, but there’s a little secret to it…and it’s called persistance. Listen, you could literally sell any product or offer out there if you consistently stay consistent. That may sound cliche, but that’s really all there is to it. Don’t let WSO copy suck you in. Which leads me to… 2.) If it sounds too good to be true… It probably is. Look, when I first started in the marketing business, I got sucked in by the copy of too many products to count. I had spent hundreds of dollars on products because they promised me the world. Whether it was promising little to no work, or thousands of dollars a month in two weeks or less. I bought into it and was inevitably let down. Like an Alzheimer patient, though…I was left wondering what I was doing wrong. This ties directly into number 1. Making money takes work. But the process is simple. 3.) Don’t overcomplicate things. Internet marketing isn’t complicated. You can literally sum it into 4 steps. – Find/Create a product. – Drive traffic to that product. – Have a process to follow up with your leads. – Profit. That’s all there is to it. Really. == NOTE:  Even though these...
What the Warrior Forum Will NEVER Teach You

What the Warrior Forum Will NEVER Teach You

I was having a conversation with a guy who is starting out in Internet Marketing. He was down and out, frustrated and just wanted some help. He’s a good guy, but much like many new comers to the industry, just didn’t have the right direction. He told me about how he was on the Warrior Forum and did research, looking for way to make money online. And that’s when I laughed to myself. Not because he was new or because he had joined the Warrior Forum. But because that WAS me when I first started in this business. I remember going to that forum, searching for some way to make money online. I remember purchasing hundreds of dollars worth of WSOs. So for giggles, I went back to the forum a few minutes ago, and decided to copy a few of the headlines. (Warning: They are absolutely ridiculous.) “How I Make $5,000 a month with Adsense, and How You Can Too! – VIDEO PROOF!” “From Newbie To Paid Expert In Minutes Without Doing Any Actual Work – WSO Of The YEAR!” And my favorite: “For $14.97 I Will Help You Earn Up To $10,000 A Month Online… If I Fail It’s FREE” Give me a freakin’ break. Listen, here’s what the authors of these products on the WarriorForum will NEVER Teach or Tell You… Are you ready? Here it is… Getting the right eyes to the product. === side note === Every business, every person attempting to make a living (i.e. sales online) needs Traffic. I’ve recently been getting acquainted on some strategies to get 15-25 leads a day. Feel free...
Email Marketing is Dead – And How You Can Resurrect It

Email Marketing is Dead – And How You Can Resurrect It

I’ve been thinking long and hard about making this statement… But email marketing is dying. Now I know I may get a lot of flak for saying that from several people in the marketing industry, but I don’t write to make friends, I write to express my opinions and observations. So let’s get down to the nitty gritty shall we? Email marketing IS dying. Now before I go any further, I am NOT saying that it’s no longer effective, nor am I saying it’s not working well for people. I am friends with many marketers who still find email a viable platform for marketing… But every day, it’s getting less and less viable. Don’t believe me? Let me prove it to you. How many email lists have you signed up for? Out of those email lists, how many do you STILL read? Out of those that you read, how many do you actually click a link that is in the message? And out of the clicks you do…how many times have you purchased something? “Everyone needs traffic and everyone needs clicks, but if you’re tired of getting crap and little to no results, click the link I’ve attached to discover 7 untapped traffic sources that barely anyone is taking advantage of.” Click Here to Learn What I’m Doing to Get 10-25 Leads a Day If you’re like me, in the beginning…you probably read EVERY email that came out. Spent hundreds of dollars on God awful warrior special offers. (Make BILLIONS with this ONE CLICK Software!) lol But inevitably, instead of reading, clicking and buying. I started unsubscribing. Here’s the...
Let’s Talk Getting More Traffic to Your Website

Let’s Talk Getting More Traffic to Your Website

Let’s talk a little about getting more traffic to your site. You see, if you’re in the internet marketing business, whether it’s promoting a biz-opp or  just selling a tangible product like a golf bag…you need traffic. And here’s the thing, you just don’t need traffic and you DEFINITELY don’t just need clicks. You need leads. Leads make the world go ‘round. Leads turn into people contacting you and most importantly… …Leads turn into sales… Let’s face it, if you’re trying to make money online…that’s what you’re trying to do. Make money. Am I right? But at the end of the day, you’re not going to get squat if no one knows you’re out there. When it comes to traffic, there are so many options and ways to promote your product. Some work well but are quite expensive, others are cheap and get you ZERO results. “Traffic truly is the lifeblood that flows through internet marketing’s veins: It doesn’t matter if you’re just starting out or if you’re making millions a year, leads are what you need. Lately, I’ve been using some methods aim to net me 10-25 leads per day (not clicks. LEADS.) Contact me on Skype @ ctrl-alt-rage. I’ll gladly show you what works for me.” For example, when I first started the marketing game, I started using Solo Ads. It was how I was taught. And sure, I’ve had some decent results with solo ads, but at the end of the day they were hit and miss. I’d spend $50-200 here and there. Sure, I’d get a sale or three, make a couple hundred to a...
The Difference Between Knowledge and Wisdom

The Difference Between Knowledge and Wisdom

It was September 13th, 1993.   It was infamously dubbed “Mortal Monday”. Why? Because the most vicious and violent game created (at the time) “Mortal Kombat” was coming out on 16-bit consoles (SNES and Sega Genesis). For some, it was just another game. For me? It was one of the most anticipated events for an 11 year old kid such as myself. It had blood, gore, action, finishing moves and lifelike graphics. (It was 1993, these graphics were freakin’ amazing.) They even had a video that promoted “Mortal Monday” that I’ll share at the bottom of this post. One of the most famous quotes in the game was: “There is no knowledge that is not power.” I always thought that sounded so cool. And it seemed valid. But in reality, now that I’m older and (somewhat) wiser. I realized that quote isn’t quite accurate. Indeed, most knowledge is power…but ONLY if you apply it. Knowledge means NOTHING if you never use it. So the difference between knowledge and wisdom is this: Knowledge is the acquiring of information. It’s what you learn, it’s what you remember. Wisdom is the application of knowledge. So let’s apply this to marketing. If you were like me a year ago. You have ALL the knowledge you need to start being successful online. You probably know how to write an email. You probably understand how a squeeze page works. You probably even know how to create a blog post. But are you applying that knowledge? Are you using it day to day to reach your marketing goals? The bottom line, is that you’re a lot farther...
Selling. Is. Pain.

Selling. Is. Pain.

One of my favorite scenes from the Hell Raiser series is when two security guards corner Pinhead and this dialogue transpires. Security Guard 1: Don’t make us put some pain on you! Pinhead: Pain? How dare you use that word? What you think of as pain is a shadow. Pain has a face. Allow me to show it to you. Gentlemen…I… Am… Pain. MAN that line is so good! Anyways, this post isn’t about Clive Barker’s dark and twisted tale of demonic awesome-sauce; it’s about why people buy. Check out the video below and as always, feel free to comment if you have any questions. 🙂 Download the MP3 Share...
