10 Reasons Why You’re Never Going to Be Successful (Part 1)

10 Reasons Why You’re Never Going to Be Successful (Part 1)

Maybe this post will pull on a few heartstrings. Maybe it will offend a few. But maybe (and what I’m hoping) is it will enlighten and open the eyes to some of you who may be suffering from a scientific term I call “zerosuccessitis”. There’s no hiding the fact that 98% of ALL marketers online are struggling to make any money at all. It always will be this way. It’s a sad truth but it’s a truth all of us must face if you’re looking to make any sort of income or have any sort of success online. At the end of the day, the KEY to having success anywhere in your life begins with you. It begins with a mindset. While I could go on for days about how to achieve a positive mindset. The best way to take the proper steps to success; is to avoid taking the wrong ones. 10 Reasons Why You’re Never Going to Be Successful 1.) You Refuse to Sacrifice. Starting a business online requires you to sacrifice in the short term so you can benefit in the long term. I’ve lost count at how many deaf ears/eyes this falls on. Perhaps part of the blame can fall on the WSO’s and other making money online products; who spout how you can make $10,000 in your first 7-10 days without doing any heavy lifting. What it all boils down to though…is if you’re going to be successful. You need to devote and commit your time to build a business. How much you sacrifice is entirely up to you. The advice I’ve given my coaching students in...
Why Do People Stay Broke?

Why Do People Stay Broke?

You know, people make me laugh sometimes. Especially when I read posts about people not having enough money or when someone complains that the “rich are getting richer.” It’s crap. All crap. There’s an age old argument on whether people buy out of necessity or out of desire. My opinion? We decide to buy out of desire and justify our decision out of logic and necessity. Think about it. What do we as a people really “need”? When you boil it down, we really only need 3 things. Food/Water. Shelter. Companionship Those three things are really the only things we need to survive. We may think we need a car…but we really don’t “need” a car. There are other methods of transportation. We may say the groceries we are buying are out of necessity, but we aren’t really buying what we “need” we are buying what we think tastes good. Sure, when you’re on a budget you’re not going to buy fillet mignon, but you’re still buying what you “want” within your budget. This ties into why I get so frustrated with people who say “I don’t have any money.” Really? Yet you can post on Facebook about the restaurant you just checked into? You can upload the latest food dish you just bought? Or post about the 6 dollar cup of coffee you just bought at Starbucks? The fact of the matter is YOU can create wealth if you just know how. I’ll be the first to admit that I’m not Mr. Moneybags. But I DO understand the concept of creating money when I need it. It just...
Why the Rich Get Richer and the Poor Get Poorer?

Why the Rich Get Richer and the Poor Get Poorer?

I was having a conversation with one of my friends today and we got into the topic of wealth. I made the comment, “When I make my first million I can’t wait to get the most hardcore gaming computer the world has ever known.” (Yeah, I’m a nerd. Wanna fight about it? lol) Anyways, he said, “Doug, I don’t know why you keep kidding yourself. The rich will only get richer and the poor will only get poorer.” Really? You know what I think? I think he’s full of turds. He has what I call a “broke man’s mentality.” He’s convinced that he will NEVER achieve financial wealth. He’s convinced that in this world, only the privileged can make millions. And you know what? He’s right. But not like you make think. WE are the privileged. NOT because of our upbringing, NOT because of our “luck” and definitely NOT because of our educational background. It’s because of our mindset. With that said, I’ve grouped together with a few marketers to do a workshop about beliefs. Click the link below and raise your hand. It will take you to the first step. Even if you don’t go any further, the information on Step 1 is absolutely free to you and it will change your mindset without a doubt. I look forward to meeting you in the workshop. The SECRET to Financial Success Online!

The SECRET to Financial Success Online!

If you are reading this article…you must be a lot like I was when I first started delving into the possibility of making money online. I was looking for the secret to financial success online. The “silver bullet” if you will. I’ve bought countless products, ebooks and have researched hundreds (if not thousands) of articles all over the internet. So do you want to know the secret? Do you REALLY want to know!? Ok…here it is… THERE ISN’T ONE! YEAH BOY! lol Yeah I know…disappointing, right? WRONG! You see, the fact that there isn’t a secret is even BETTER news than the possibility of there being secret. Why? Simple. So let me throw it out there for you. IF THERE IS NO SECRET TO FINANCIAL SUCCESS ONLINE THEN THAT MEANS YOU CAN STOP LOOKING FOR ONE! Sorry for the CAPS yelling there. But seriously. There isn’t one. There is no magic guide out there that will tell you some snippet of information or some magic spell to cast that will immediately give you the know-how to make it big over night. There is no product that will miraculously create a button that you press that will fill your bank account with countless dollars. I frequent the Warrior Forum from time to time and in the beginning of my quest for knowledge I posted questions all the time. I replied on threads, checked out WSOs (Warrior Special Offers) and I still struggled with “the next step”. It may even be safe to assume that if you’re reading this, you may be in the same boat as I once was. For...
Selfish People – Like You and That’s Okay

Selfish People – Like You and That’s Okay

I know… the title implies a little negativity, but hear me out. There are selfish people out there…and you’re one of em. I am, you are, everyone is. So allow me to explain myself. What do I mean by this? Well it’s quite simple, really. So let’s start off with the definition of being selfish and allow me to elaborate on what I feel my own definition is: Selfish People From the archives of Merriam Webster: “self·ish – adjective \ˈsel-fish\ 1 : concerned excessively or exclusively with oneself : seeking or concentrating on one’s own advantage, pleasure, or well-being without regard for others. 2 : arising from concern with one’s own welfare or advantage in disregard of others <a selfish act>. Now upon reading this definition. One can assume that if people are selfish then they have no regard for the feelings and welfare of others. In some cases, it’s completely true. But I have another outlook on selfishness and I would like to think it’s a little more relevant to the majority of the world’s population. So what do I mean by this? What do I mean when I say that people are selfish? Well, to explain that people are selfish I like to think of the word: “selfish” I relate it to a “What’s in it for me?” attitude. In other words, if I do something for someone else. Or if I strive to achieve something…what’s in for me? What do I get out of it? Still, this does sound rather negative in relation to the definition above; but let me explain my theory with a few examples that I hope makes sense. If you were to help an...

80 20 – The Pareto Principle and Success

The Rule of 80 20 Many of you have probably heard the rule of 80 20. That is 20% of your effort accounts for 80% of your results. The Pareto Principle is based off of Vilfredo Pareto, who observed in 1906 that 80% of the land in Italy was owned by 20% of the population; he developed the principle by observing that 20% of the pea pods in his garden contained 80% of the peas. As simple as this sounds (even silly in some cases), you may be surprised at how fundamentally true this principle really is. Think about it, you can easily place yourself in a plethora of situations where the 80 20 rule applies. I’ve been in sales all my life and I know beyond a shadow of the doubt that 20% of my clients account for 80% of the total revenue made. In other words, for every 100 people…. only 20 of them are producing 80% of the results! Pretty crazy if you ask me! Now let’s look into the 80 20 rule a bit further… Let’s say you have a list 10 friends. Is it safe to say that 2-3 of them are your best and closest friends whereas the other 7-8 are more “buddies”? Interesting, isn’t it? Take a look at your website statistics. 20% of your traffic are going to spend 80% of the time reading your articles. The other 80% are going to spend 20% of their time. Now think about this… 20% of the people in this world are accounting for 80% of the results and effects on this world. Who do...
