I’ve said it a couple times and I’ll say it again.
I’ve made a bunch of mistakes.
And I know I’ll still be making them.
One of the biggest mistakes I’ve ever made is that I over complicated everything.
Every tip my mentors gave me, every piece of advice I heard in a book or at a conference.
I just kept thinking to myself, “There’s gotta be something they aren’t telling me. Some kind of secret of trick they are holding back.”
And who knows, that might be partially true.
It wasn’t until a couple of months ago that I finally “got it.”
It wasn’t a secret or a magic word or some spell I brewed in my magic cauldron.
It was just a few shifts in mindset and a few principles that I had to work on.
Here they are:
1. Always be consistent and persistent.
The fact is you never know what will work or what doesn’t if you quit before you’ve even had a chance to see what works. That was one of my biggest faults. I just gave up too easily.
2. Duplicate what other successful people are already doing.
If you really want to go far, all you do is find the people who are where you want to be and duplicate what they’re doing. Remember, you are who you hang out with.
3. You have a lot more power than you think.
And don’t let anyone tell you differently. Power simply means “the ability to act”. You just have to decide to use it. Power is like a muscle. The more action you take, the easier it gets. Science has proven this to be true as the neural strands in your brain get thicker the more you do certain things.
4. Trust no one, at first.
Yes there are some freakin’ AWESOME people out there that are willing to help. But as we both know, there are also a lot of snakes in the grass. Don’t be afraid to ask for references.
5. Automation is key to running a business.
But it still requires a “human” to operate it. There are too many products out there that promise a “1 Click to Riches” philosophy that just isn’t true.
I know I may not be a millionaire giving you these tips, but I’ve gathered these tips by associating with millionaires.
One of which I work directly. His name is Matt Lloyd and he’s the one who created My Top Tier Business. And he has his crap together.
